I try
Sequence Preset: Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) 1920x1080 25p 48 kHz
Capture Preset: HDV-Apple Intermediate Codec
Device Control Preset HDV FireWire Basic
Playback Output Video: None
Playback Output Audio: Default
only when I use simply PAL DV the cam is seen, controllable and logs.
what am I doing wrong???
macbookpro 15" OSX 10.5.6 4Gb ram FCP latest version
HV20 has a mini DV cassette inside with material filmed @ HDV 25p settings and is attached via FW cable
HV20 in PLAY mode is set to output HDV via FW ( DV)
FCP wont recognize the device if it is set to playback AUTO, if HV20 playback is set to HDV, FCP recognizes the device but logs a black screen and the HV20 display gets a red warning message ...
if anybody knows an alternative capturing solution for mac I would be grateful
