Mixing formats during a shoot, 7Q

I'm looking to shoot a mix of 4K2HD 24fps / 4K2HD 60fps / maybe 2K 120fps RAW with the 7Q. We'll be out in the field the full day. I did some tests here at home and it all seemed to work fine.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips or things to look out for before i shoot, if there are any problems with mixing formats during a single shoot.

Thanks.

2K RAW is slightly softer then 4K derived material. Other then that it should be peachy.

No problem other than you must keep in mind that certain modes will require two SSDs to record to simultaneously. This will severely limit memory space.

I shot some 2K 120fps to the same card as my 4K2HD today. Works great. Only thing is when running the ProRes Transfer Utility i had to move the RAW file off the card in order to batch run all the ProRes files. No biggie.

Next time, could i actually tell the 7Q to record RAW, non-Raid, single card files to record on the 2nd SSD? Like, can you manually say "record the next clip to SSD 2?" Then go back to SSD1 for your other format?

Not at this time, but we are considering some media management options for the future. It's tricky because you don't want to overly complicate things, but you also want to have lots of features. It's a difficult balance, especially because many users don't like to think about media management issues.

It would be really helpful to be able to switch slots. Just stick it under the SSD menu.
