I would appreciate any advice or shared experiences about how to best mix footage from AF101 with footage from other cameras. We will be shooting a documentary in the near future. The documentary will include travel scenes, interviews and live action scenes. It is an indie production, so we will shoot it with what we have, four different cameras: a Panasonic AF 101, a Sony Z5, a Sony A1 and a Countour HD helmet camera. It is not ideal, but that is what we have. We will probably be shooting in 1080/25p. The Sony A1 is the only one out of the four that cannot shoot 25p, but as it will probably be used only for kind of backup general shots, I think it will be ok to just deinterlace its 50i footage in post.
So the key question is how to achieve good results when mixing 25p footage from the Z5 with the footage from the AF101?
I love the film look that the AF101 can produce, and I would love to shoot using a scene file for "movie look". But is it then very difficult to tweak the Z5 footage (using e.g. Magic Bullett Looks) so that it would somehow match the film-like footage from AF 101? I have used Magic Bullett Looks in the past, but am not by any means a colorist.
Would I be better off by rather shooting more "Z5-like footage" with the AF101? In that case, which scene file would be the most appropriate?
Thanks!
