I am going to record a 50th birthday party. I am looking into using my trusty DVX100A in the mix with my two Nikon D7000's. Output will be DVD. I want as smooth a video as possible, so I am thinking of shooting in 30p instead of 24pa. The Nikon will shoot 720p @ 30fps also. Is there anything to be gained by shooting the Nikon's in 1080p since DVD's are SD anyway? It seems to me 720 would be a closer match? Please, if you have any tips I would really appreciate them. I didn't post this on the Nikon DSLR section because I am looking for advice from longing DVX users. I haven't used mine in a long time. I am editing in FCPX. Thank you for reading.
