Mixing 24PA & 60I?

This is kind of a two fold question:

I did a project in June that I used both 24P and 60I, for the ceremony and then only 60I for the reception. I used 3 cameras (1 DVX100, 1 DVX100A, and a PD150 for the stationary camera). I used an anamorphic lens on the 100's and used the wide mode on the PD150.

Here are my two questions.

1. I can't remember if I shot in the 24P mode or the 24PA mode with the 100's. Is there a way to either put it into FCP or my camera to determine which mode I used?

2. If it's in the 24PA mode, am I going to have any problem mixing in the PD150 that was in 60I? Will I have to use two different sequences? I'm going to be going out to DVD using Studio Pro 3.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

eric

Re: Mixing 24PA & 60I?

..either mode of 24p will play fine in a 60i timeline, as both modes are telecined to 60i on the tape.    you can load the clips into the NLE in a 60i timline and simply look at the cadance of interlaced vs progressive frames to discern which method of 24p you were recording in, or you can just play it back in the cam, and it tells you on the lcd which mode you were in when it was recorded..and the shutter speed, and iris setting too if i can remember correctly--be you have the display turned on if you dont see it on playback.  you can set your display options in the menu.. refer to your manual if you need to know where cause i cant even remember what the menu looks like right now.  ;)

I appreciate your imput, but for some reason, I can't find in the viewer where it tells me what mode I'm in.  I thought I knew the menu pretty well, but this one must be eluding me. As you know, you can change your settings in both the VCR and Camera mode, and I always use the ALL setting when shooting so I can see what is happening on my display.

Is there another hidden switch in the menu that I'm missing?

thanks again,

eric

Re: Mixing 24PA & 60I?

Play one of the 24p tapes back in the 100a and press "counter"(under the LCD, a few times) & it will say 24p or 24pa or 60i.
