Mixed mxf files in one project

FCP (don't hate) user confused by Avid.
We shot a project with HVX's shooting both 24pn and 30pn. We also want to combine some reg dv (29.97) footage.
My question is...how do you do a pulldown on the 24p mxf files to put in a 29.97 timeline. I understand I can export to tape and reimport but that is ridiculous considering the quantity of footage and the whole nature of mxf files.
Can it possibly be true that avids cannot do a pulldown on mxf files?? I realize that I don't know Avids well at all but....
Help me become a believer in Avid.

Thanks for your reply. I understand that you cannot mix framerates inside a project but can you convert framrates so that they are all the same (pref to 29.97 but either way will work).
Thanks again for helping

I don't believe that currently Avid can perform pulldown on a file. Only when it's recording the footage. This is supposed to change in a future version of Xpress Pro, but that doesn't do a lot of good for you now.

There are third party programs that can handle this. After Effects being one of them if you have access to AE.
