Mix Squeeze with Anamorphic HELP

I need to continue a documentary started one year ago using the squeeze mode, at 24Pa.... Now I have a new Anamorphic Adapter, and I would like to use it.
My goal is to made a DVD and to present the Documentary to a television show.
I will be able to mix the 2 different footages (taken with Squeeze first and Anamorphic after) and edit all in FCP 5?

A second question is:
It is possible to improve the quality (resolution and color) in the capturing process of a miniDV content, using an AJA Kona 2 card, or any similar additional tool, like Black Magic....? For Capturing which will be the most appropriate Deck?

I have to admit that I am a lot confused on this field!

I have mixed squeeze with anamorphic footage and other than the resolution advantage that the anamorphic adapter has, both could be used in the same project without any problems. I don't use FCP (I use Premier Pro) but it is very simple. Just conform the footage to a pixel aspect ratio of 1.2:1 for both and you should be good to go.
