Mix HD and SD Footage?

How do you mix HD and SD footage? The majority of my footage was shot in 720p, but I have several clips that are SD. Do I start with a 720x480 timeline and scale down the HD footage manually, or do I place everything on an HD timeline and then export as D1/DV Widescreen? I'm using premier 1.5.

COMPLETELY LOST AND FRUSTRATED!!!

Please help soon! Project due date is arriving.

If you want to make a DVD then scale the 720p down. This also gives you the option of re-framing the shot if you neeed to. If you want to make a HD-DVD then scale the SD up if it looks good sized up. Run some tests, and figure out what it is you want to distribute your movie on.
