I see Mitch Gross has moved to Convergent Design, sounds like it bodes well for all concerned. I can see CD becoming even more of a force to be reckoned with. Good catch guys.

Now will those O7s leave the factory quicker? :)

Mitch Gross joins our team, on Monday, as Director of Communications.

Mtich has a very extensive background and will be an integral part of our team.

Mitch and I will be manning our booth at Cine Gear Expo, in New York City this weekend.

We will have Odyssey7's and Odyssey7Q's there.

Just hired and I already get a promotion? ;-)

As Director of Communications (not CEO, but thanks), I'll be reaching out to the community in many ways, including here. If you think you know everything the Odyssey 7 & 7Q can do, you'll be happy to know we have a lot more up our sleeves. It's going to be a fun ride and communication is a two-way street, so I'm also here to listen. You will help us make better products for you.

Congratulations on your new role.

Getting Sony to loosen the license on the 4K raw would be first on my wish list.

One can live in hope!

Congrats to Mitch and CD. I remember Mitch in the Abelcine office during my fs700 purchase. It was early and Mitch was more than helpful and went out of his way to helping me and my sales person (Matthew) get the info I needed. I was honored, Mitch is top notch, I'm now even happier to own the odysseyQ when it's released. Can't wait! Thanks

Congrats Mitch. CD + Dan has been the most open company so far. Unbelievable how much time Dan spends writing his responses. Dan is the Man! Not sure if this is possible, but if you can get good quality 10-bit 4:2:2 HD 240fps slow motion, you can just call it the day as far as I am concerned.
 
Congratulations! Coming from the BMCC, I will wait to purchase until custom Luts are fully functional.
 
I have known Mitch for the past 4-5 years and have attended more than a few of the Abel gatherings where Mitch was a presenter.

Convergent Design got themselves a fine fellow-a techie/geek that can actually explain "stuff"!

As I've said in the past on more than one forum, I am a fan of Abel Cine.

And now with Mitch at Convergent Design, I'm a fan of them also.

Thanks so much everyone. Convergent Design is a great company and I'm thrilled to be a part of it. The Odyssey7 & 7Q are amazing technology and for everything you think you know they can do, we have more up our sleeves. Can't wait to let more cats out of bags. I'm always available to answer questions and help wherever I can. If anyone is in the NY area, Dan & I will be at CineGear Expo at the Manhattan Pavillion Friday & Saturday. Soooo, what about using cfast instead of ssd in version 2 maybe?! Or heck, a version 1.5...

It'd be good to get an update on O7Q shipping dates. I have a pre-order with CVP in the UK, but they don't seem to have any idea as to when they might be expecting deliveries...
