I really think J.J. should take the Director's role. The 3rd film was great and I think he should take this one for the 4th.

Really? I HATED the 2nd one. The third one is what brought it back for me. I loved the first one as a kid.

Yeah I agree, the third one is what brought it back into the light. The second was alright, but I lost interest after my first watch. I'm excited for a 4th, I think it could be pretty good.

I thought the first one was okay, while I really enjoyed 2 and 3. Speaking of MI:2, where is John Woo these days anyways?

JJ did a good job on the third one though, so I'd have no objections to him doing the next one. I wonder if he is strategically setting aside the time for the next Star Trek film. Also, he is supposed to be doing something with Stephen King's The Dark Tower series, so that too could explain why he is only producing the next Mission Impossible.
