Missing files from card

So I just got finished with a major shoot, came home, watched my clips on my LCD then took the card out of my hmc150 and opened FCP 7 and clicked "log and transfer" and half of my clips from this weekend are missing. The strange thing is the only shots missing are the clips from today but the clips I shot yesterday were still on the card. I clicked on the actual card to open it up and see what files are there and there are MANY MTS files from today but aren't showing up. Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone have any idea how I can transfer these MTS files aside from FPC? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

You might try putting the card in camera, and use it to Log and Transfer. It has worked for me when I have had issues with card readers.
 
The CRAZY thing is, something happened to the card from when I took it out of the camera after watching the footage in the TV and putting the card into the reader. Now when I put the card in the cameara the foogage wasn't there either!!!

BUT, the files are there when you open the card properties on the computer. I just need software that can open and transfer MTS files. I can open the clips in Premier CS5 but I don't edit in premier. This is a very strange issue.
