Missing Clips

I have a card that has eight mts files (and eight cpi files) and only six show up in the log and transfer. There are no error messages, but I know data is missing. Does anyone have any workarounds to make these work? I'm on a Mac Pro using FCP.
 
Not to make them work, but you can use compressor to transcode the mts files to something else... or any other transcoding software options...
 
They're probably spanned clips. If that's the case, nothing is missing, l&t is reporting the spanned clip as single clips, which is the better way to do it.

Did you shoot long clips that would exceed the 4GB maximum file size?

Or, well, let's put it a different way -- put the card back in the camera and see how many clips it shows. If it shows six, then you don't have a problem, it's spanned clips. If the camera shows eight, and l&t shows six, then yeah, you've got a problem.
