Missing Clip FS-100

I have previous posts about my Firestore FS-100 and a missing clip. Essentially I was recording a FAA Tower Demolition for the Airport in Atlanta. I used 4 HVXs, 3 of which used P2 cards. The footage from those cameras is perfect. I used my FS-100 on my camera which was the frontal shot. Set it to record for about 12 minutes. The tower came down in the last 2 minutes. My FS-100 shows 5 2 minute 18 second clips which are numbered 363, 364, 365, 366, 367. There is no clip 368 when I import into FC or look in the video folder. I then recorded a few seconds of additional footage at home. This clip was numbered 369. 368 somehow does not exist.

Customer service at Focus got me to try playing the footage from the FS to my HVX screen and to my delight the missing footage is on there. I can play it but that is about it. It was suggested that I back up the footage to tape and P2 cards which I would do but after going through both the FS manual and the HVX manual I can see no way of doing this.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to salvage this clip. Please let me know. This is quite frustrating and I can see absolutely no reason why this would have happened in the first place.

I have tried repairing the clip with no success.

Thank you.

I don't have the Firestore and don't know how it operates.

However, if you are able to play the clip back to the HVX over firewire, then it sounds like its just streaming. Maybe you can play it back to FCP and capture it there via firewire.

Maybe you can set FCP capture in "no device control", and then start recording in FCP, and then play back from the FS.

Good luck.
