Miss my Voightlander 25

I LOVE my 700, but I do miss my Voightlander 25 immensely.
Anyhing out there comparable in focal length and speed?

Given the low-light performance of the FS700, I would focus on image quality over crazy wide apertures. The Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 is a good performer, also very light and compact. I'll be posting a mini-test of it soon.

Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM - for a quality, fast lens with a similar FoV.

Have you seen the Voigtlander 35mm Nokton f/1.2? Don't own it, but should be comparable quality- and build-wise (not to mention pure mechanical focus with long focus throw and so on); they have also a slightly slower f/1.4 in their repertoire; both Leica-M-Mount

+1 on the CV 35 1.2, has the Voigt look, crazy fast and the first version can be had under $900 if you're patient. The main difference between v1 & v2 is the minimum focus distance - it was a little long in the first version, something like 3ft. Its a great lens however, FOV would be about the same as the 25 and f1.2 would give you similar DOF characteristics. It is a big chunk of glass though...

Is the focus rotation on the Voigtlander 35mm in standard cinema direction - or reversed (like with Nikons)?
