FS7: MIS shoe to cold shoe adapter?

Like many, I will need a possibility of attaching accessories (mainly on-camera lights) to my FS7 via the front shoe, which is a MIS proprietary one. For that, and adapter is needed transforming it to a regular cold shoe; I have found the following two on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/..._rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=867551827&pf_rd_i=desktop

and

http://www.amazon.co.uk/JJC-MSA-MIS...421_img_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1WE5QYB894WNQB2TDE8Y

Now, only the latter has "MIS" in its name, with the former (lower and more compact, which is always a good thing) bearing "MSA" name. I'm no good in Sony's proprietary shoes as I never used a camera with one of those before; please tell me is there really is a difference between the 2 above-mentioned adapters? Do I need the taller "MSI->cold shoe" one, or will both do their job without damaging my FS7 MIS shoe? TIA

I have the one on your second link for my FS5 and it is a good, secure fit. Hopefully, someone will chyme in that has tried the other one but some of the amazon reviews suggest it may not securely lock.

I must admit I find it a little strange this thread has only one answer to my question; don't owners put any adapter into the MIS shoe before attaching devices (like lights etc.) that have regular metal shoe themselves which could short the electrical connections in the active Sony shoe? I could swear I saw a picture somewhere (was it Alister's FS7 rig) where a light was attached directly to the MIS shoe, with nothing in between? I'd love to know an answer to this, as an adapter is not a good thing as it may have play, and will always elevate the (sometimes heavy) device, like a big LED light with its own heavy battery - which is never good... So if just sliding a regular metal base into the MIS shoe is OK, and no adapter is necessary - please tell me so; I'd then drop the idea of buying such an adapter!
