So I just bought this lens for my kit as a replacement for all of my stolen gear. (I had a RED Scarlet and all of my lenses and accessories stolen in July). I bought this lens for good reasons, but it's not for me. One of the lenses that I had stolen was the Canon 24-70 ver 1. I wasn't super happy with it, and since I had to re-buy everything I looked into going a different route. I bought an Angenieux 28-70 2.6, but the aperture was damaged and wouldn't stop down. I tried getting it fixed, but no parts, so that went back. I then went with the next best thing which was the Tokina ver 1 that was based off of the Angenieux design. The reason I was excited about it was that it was durable, didn't extend while zooming (which makes it great for matte box use) and is relatively par focal. What I thought I could live with was the loss of 4mm compared to my canon 24-70. It turns out that that is kind of an issue now for me. I need a lens like this for run and gun situations where I don't have time to change out primes. The 24-70 is just a really good range for me and 28 is just a hair too telephoto for what I need. So hence the sale. The lens is in absolute immaculate condition. I have never purchased a used lens this clean. I can send off pics if needed, I'm just away from my office and am super swamped at the moment and leaving to go out of town this weekend. I paid 450 for it plus shipping from a guy in Japan. I would take 400 for it including shipping and paypal fees. Please email me at michael@811productions.com or eight11productions@icloud.com instead of sending a pm as I'll get the emails right away. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions. Sorry for the long explanation, but I thought I need to tell teh reason why I was selling.

Here are some pics. Sorry I didn't include them in the original post, but I am away from the office, so I had my wife take these for me this am.

This lens does not appear to have manual iris control. Have you tested the iris control with a Canon EOS camera? Does it have image stabilization?

No it does not have manual aperture. I tested it on my Red Scarlet with a canon mount and it worked fine there. I also tested it on my wife's t3i to see if the auto focus worked and both that and iris worked on the t3i. I don't have access to any other canon's so that's all I can test.
