Minolta 70-2100 f4 + sony la-ea 2 . Hi I is autofocus of minolta 70-210 work with fs100 and la-ea 2 ???? . Is anyone use this lens with adapter la-ea2 ????
Hi, I've used that exact combination. The price difference between those f4 lenses and a sigma or sony 2.8 is far to much in my eyes to justify one stop. The fs100 more than makes up for it. I use sony alpha 16-50's and 28-75's with mine too. Besides the loss of one stop I would point out that there is a colour cast with the minolta lens so you may have to white balance or colour correct afterwards.
The auto focus works ok. I've found that it sometimes tries to focus on the wrong thing so normally so manual focus. The other small issue is that the focus ring is very thin and right at the end of the lens so can be a bit fiddly sometime.
You can also get a minolta md 70-210 f4 which is fully manual but really, really cheap. Some of the minolta md's primes are great budget lenses for the fs100.

How loud is autofocus ? Does microphone catch everything ? I need autofocus for tracking race car . Does minolta 70-210 f4 autofocus manage it ????
