"Minnesota Morels", a piece-together of the first footage shot on my new GH2
Please, critique and advice welcome! Use the poll to rate the video. All of my processes and settings are listed in the video description on vimeo, and pasted here:
Handheld GH2 and 14-140 f4-5.8 kit lens, kept wide open
Custom Profile: Contrast -2, Sharpness -2, Noise Red. -1
24H quality (HiQ 24p HD)
Some Ex. Tele Crop, some normal
Shutter: 50
ISO: 160 (the camera somehow reset itself to this along the way, so it was not my setting.)
Edited it Final Cut Pro 5.1.4
Grading done using FCP's 3-way color corrector. Other than that, a gaussian blur effect of 0.5 to cut noise. (If you know a better noise reducer in FCP, please share! I've never had HD footage before, so noise has never been a problem and blur was the only solution that came to mind.)
It was also my first attempt at grading, so lemme know what you think! (I can only hope I didn't overdo it in my excitement.)
