minimum suggested accessories for octavia "bella nero" or "film edition" both hypers

Wind screen and shockmount i assume.......using it for interior booming, for dialogue, just wondering what the least amount i could get away with is for either mic, without sacrificing too much handling noise, etc.....keep in mind im an indie and could soup it up later just looking for some quality minimum suggestions...........is the base oktava shockmount and cheap bbg enough for interiors?

Get a good shock mount, and get a 1-foot XLR cable. Use that shorty as a jumper between the mic and whatever long cable you'll be using, as this will decouple the mic from the cable and will help reduce handling noise.

sorry yeah its the sambra ssm1, would that suffice? along with the cheap 7 dollar windscreen for interiors?.....btw thanks to everyone ffor their help and patience....lol

so would the sambra ss1 shockmount be good enough.......and a jumper between the mic and another cable?....what do you mean?

Should be. Audio Technica makes one that I like better, retails for about the same price.

Handling noise can travel up the mic cable. If you have a 25' cable running straight up the fish pole to the mic, you risk getting handling noise in the mic, so you need to provide a breaking point to stop that noise in its path. By connecting the mic to a 1' cable, and the other end of the 1' cable to the 25' cable, you provide some isolation. You'll need to secure the 1' cable to the top of the fishpole, in a tension-relief loop. Use a hook-and-loop tie.
