Hello

I'm going to rent HVX200 for my movie but they don't include the cards ... The one way is to buy extra card .. and the cheap way is to record live on the laptop for monitoring connected to the camera with Adobe OnLocation

But I don't the laptop's minimum requirements to have a smooth recording without missing frames

Thanks !!!

Now, a lot of people might jump on me for saying this, but if your final product is not going to be in HD, then your inexpensive alternative might be to record to miniDV tapes. Having an HD quality camera gives you an excellent quality image, even on DV.

Well, I'm not sure about your budget or timeframe for needing this stuff, but I found this on eBay:

If the link doesn't work, it's item number 250271093178

It's a 100 GB hard drive recorder, which would record in HD and then you could off-load it to a computer. Otherwise, see if you can rent some P2 cards too.

Man ... with these money I buy the cards ... My budget is limited and the company's here in Greece don't rent cards ... only the Hard Disk with 25euros/day
so the live recording to a laptop is the only way...

Guys I know that P2 is the best way .. but as I said I have no money for that .. only a laptop with OnLocation .. but I have to know the system requirements for a smooth capture ...
