Minimizing grain on GH2

Hey Guys.. Just curious as to settings that people are using to get the cleanest image from the GH2. Typically it's very noise free at low iso's.. but even at low ISO sometimes I get a bit more noise than I'd like.

Any recommendations of settings, f-stops, techniques, etc. to minimize grain? Besides aiming to just shoot at 160

From what I understand iso 250, 500, 1,000, and 2,000 have electronic gain kick in which makes for a very noisy image. There was a thread up yesterday that actually showed the test. He shot with a lens cap on the cam, and was able to see the gain at the different iso. It's a really cool test, and Im glad he took the time to post it. I will look around for it and post the link here if I find it.

Well make sure you are exposing properly- i.e. use the spot meter and avoid heavy duty contrast. Also lens quality is a factor. And lastly ISO- that's really the bottom line. The more you light a scene, adding fill into shadows and avoid high ISOs you'll see less grain.
