miniDV tapes for HVX

I haven't shot miniDV tapes in a while and when I did I ALWAYS used the white Panasonic (I forget the model#) that I would order from my vendor versus something bought at a retail store.

I have a shoot where the client needs miniDV...are there any safe tapes that you know of that I can buy at Best Buy or where ever that would be safe to use in the HVX? I remember something about dry lube vs. wet....? Thanks

You really should be fine with any brand name MiniDV tape. Whatever you pick up, stick with it in that camera and you shouldn't have problems. You might look at Fuji. From what I've gathered, a lot of people really like them, and Circuit City carries them in most of their stores. They are pretty inexpensive at B&H also:

ive used those blue wrapper sonys that you can get at any best buy. also used the fujis that you can get at any walgreens/cvs none have ever failed me
