Hey, I was just cleaning up the web directory earlier and I don't think I ever got around to posting this:

http://www.psychicbunny.com/video/BJWinslow_320.mov

It's a 5-minute piece I did for my friend BJ, who manufacturers horror props among other things. This piece was intended for some show on one of the Discovery, I think, but it didn't get picked up. Parts of it are a bit slow because when I shot it, I never intended it to be a 5-minute piece, but... that's how things go!

You do? Will do, next time I see him, although I just saw him on New Year's and probably not anytime soon. BTW, I left a message for you in your adapter test thread from before Christmas, probably should have PM'd it. Nothing important, really.

Anyway, thanks to those who liked the piece. I've honestly never used his props, except a disembodied arm we borrowed for our Fisherman show. I don't do a lot of horror, really, but I wish I did - he does really great work!

I guess I should have watched it before posting it here, because man, that compression is UGLY. Now I'm gonna get all anal retentive about it and have to repost it.

A little of both. I knew it was a look I was going for, so I wasn't too concerned that I couldn't avoid blowouts while shooting. Then in post I tweaked it further, of course, pushing the highs and mids and driving down the blacks.

Compression still sucks, though.
