Mini ball mount to attach Shogun to A7s?

In any case: Manfrotto 492. I tried smaller ones, but it was a waste of money. The 492 is rock solid and to use best because of its possibility to tilt it by 180 degrees.

A vote for the Manfrotto ballhead from me as well, tried many but this is the only good one. You might need an additional washer though because at least on the Odyssey the grills dig deep into the rubber of the ball head.

I picked up a nylon washer that covered the entire rubber area and it locks really tight now with the 7Q+ At 16:00 I show two options for the 7Q+ but these will also work with any monitor or device that has issues with the rubber.

I was going to suggest the small ballhead from Really Right Stuff. But it's not made for hot shoe mounting. Their stuff is second to none, though...

Yep. The Manfrotto. I went through three different ball heads to hold up monitors (some pretty lightweight monitors too). They were in the "Under $40 range". All sucked. Got the Manfotto one people mentioned here, and love it to death. I use it for the 7Q, works great.

I just bought the Manfrotto 492LCD i really like it but did i get a lemon ? when i lock the ball head the base the locking handle is attached to still spins ?n I btttWhen I lock the head the thing still pans. I wasn't sure if it was a design flaw the head the thing still pans at the base. I wasn't sure if it was a design flaw

Sorry forgot to add the base spins with a little finger pressure which means the monitor pans also is this normal ?
