Hi there all. New chap here, attracted by all the glitz of dvxuser!
Anyway, I have encountered a bit of a problem. Premiere (the ye olde 6.0 version), my only video editing app I have, is displaying the preview footage in the monitor window weirdly: it only displays the top half of the footage. Not only that but any video exported using Premiere in the past is also playing in the same fashion when opened in Windows Media Player or Real Player. The vids I've tried to play properly are in both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio (sometimes not keeping the 16:9 ratio). Everything else is fine; it's just the picture.
More clues: I recently got an upgrade for my comp that included an extra 2G of RAM and an GF8800 video card - not sure if that has anything to do with it - but I hadn't done any video editing until now, after the upgrade, ie, it worked perfect before the upgrade. May I add that I'm also running nvidia's latest BETA drivers (ooh, dammit...).
If anyone can help... extreme appreciation awaits you!
Could be a codec problem... I've been scratching the Net for stuff, but no bananas so far...
