I'ts been a long while since I posted anything up for you guys to pick apart.

I just finished this little diddy, shot yesterday put together last night and its now done enough to share I suppose.

If anyone knows where to find european buildings and landscapes in alaska in janurary (-50 below zero right now) let me know :huh: (I'm being sarcastic).

Anyway, its all very quick and just for a church congregation, so please let me know what you guys think. Lump on the criticism, I like it.

Dang, I got the perfect backdrop 10 miles from me: a bombed-out German church and grave yard in an open field, nothing newer than 100 years old in sight. The catch is its on a U.S. firing range (used to be part of the impact zone). If you need shots let me know.

Weather is much better here: it was at least 4 degrees this morning when my car battery died and I had to carry my 3 year-old 1 mile to school (uphill :angry: )

Very touching; the Voice Over was perfect; props to that talent and rightful chosen score. I enjoyed this. Well done.

You always sumit nice work.

Some blowouts on the G.I. in the end but maybe on purpose ?

i enjoyed the distant gunfire and shouts. it was a nice touch. I have the feeling we're in the same kinda situation (you're more advanced though). I'm involved with my church doing promo videos for now...maybe i'll post some in the next month or so.
 
The audio seemed a little too high for my taste - almost like it was done on a regular computer microphone. The voice actor was very good overall, but tried to sell it too hard once or twice. Different BG and you'd have been golden.

Nice stuff.

Yeah that Voice Over talent really nailed it! :thumbsup: Without his involvement I don't know if I could have pulled this off! (cough)

(ahem, VO talent is me....) Yeah, it is a little over the top in a few places....I might redo it, this was only my second take, I was in a rush.

Thanks a bunch man. I always love to post work up here because people don't mind ripping it to shreds. Then I get guys like you who actually like the stuff, geeze.

The blow-outs were on purpose, I wanted a harsher look to that footage so I bumped the contast way up.

I do the video announcements for the church. This is one of them. It's great because it forces me to shoot a video at least every other week, and teached me to think on the run, though I wonder how long I can keep this pace up.

Yeah, after watching it again ,the audio defintely needs some work. Audio has never been my strong suit. I'm getting better though. Yeah, different BG would have been nice.
I see what you mean about the VO quality.
