I made this for my senior project at my high school. feedback/comments appreciated.

p.s.- i know, the lighting in the wide performance shot was UGLY. haha

I would trash the indoor performance shots completely.
Besides the lighting you already mentioned, the wide shot simply doesn´t connect to the song IMHO.
Close ups are a must for vocal performances (if you show the performance at all...).
His singing is so open and wide, kind of crying out, I either want to see the emotional expression on his face or some "room" for his performance (open indoor space/outdoors) - not a dead end, black window room.
Just my 2c, of course.
And man, you got some nice story shots in there, if you could reshoot the performance I´d give you an A+ !
