Mike Inputs

I am a new 100A owner and see there is no 1/8" mini mic input, only XLRs. Is there an easy way to use my old microphones with 1/8" mini plug? I have a wireless mike and a good Rode shotgun, both having the mini plug. Thanks in advance.

you can get an XLR to mini if you can find one.

You could also go XLR to 1/4" and put a 1/4" to mini adapter in.

That's the way to go... I've got a bunch of those 1/4 to XLRs. If you know any audio guys they can make them for you easy enough.

Any chance you are up north of the bay area??? I'll be happy to give them to you.

I live between Grass Valley and Auburn. Thanks for the offer of the adapters. Let me know how to take you up on them. I'll be gone for a few days.It is too bad that with all the controls and flexibility that they didn't stick an 1/8" socket in between the XLRs and put on an input selector switch. Oh well, the picture is great.

I tried this with my rode videomic on the DVX using rode's xlr to 3.5mm adapter, and while it worked, the sound quality was pretty horrible to me.

I am not sure if I had a bad adapter, or if this is just how it is?
