I am now at ptool 3.36 and my last increment is 7 and at gh1__138.bin

and now I am going to change to ptool 3.37d. What increment should I use? and is it still a continuity of the seven or start from 0 again. what will be my bin number now a continuity of gh1__138.bin therefore gh1__139.bin?

Thanks for your patience

I haven't been incrementing. I used 3.36, loaded the factory firmware, selected "version check" (which actually disable version checking in the camera), and incremented. Uploaded to camera.

Then I loaded the factory firmware again, selected "version check", didn't increment. Uploaded to camera. That put me at 1.32 with no version checking. The camera does show 0.0 as the firmware version, but that's because of the "version check" being selected.

Now whenever I upload a new firmware I don't increment and just make sure I select the "version check" option. Works like a charm.

EDIT: Oh, and I've never renamed my .bin file. They've always been gh1__132.bin.

How do you "increment" the firmware hack? I only changed the bin file number and now I can't seem to update the firmware. When I insert my SDHC card and push the playback button, I just get a message that says something like "no valid pictures to display". What am I doing wrong?
