I own the Sennheiser ME-66 and was also interested in purchasing the RODE NT-G1.
Any suggestions on the better Microphone for film. :thumbsup:

BUT, you want the Hypercardioid capsule instead of the cardioid that's included with the mic in the link.

and since there is significant handling noise with the okatava, you will need a very good shock mount, boom pole and BBG.

You probably either want a blimp/BBG or a good pop guard with it, too.

I shoot with the NTG-1 and like it, i have a K-Tek shock mount and Dead Cat for it.
Works good for both on camera and boom pole.

I keep seeing the MK-012 offered in pairs, is that a good thing to have around? How could the pair be useful? I'm a newbie and will be doing mainly interior shots and distributing on the internet.

one of the guys in the audio forum worked out a discount for dvxusers and an offering in black with the hyper capsule. Opinions vary on the shockmount sound room offers though and many recommend the more expensive k-tek mount.
