microphone question

I am still in doubts between buying the FX1e or the Z1E.

THere is no doubt i prefer the pro version. However since it is around 1500 euros cheaper, i found no reasons why i should buy the pro version. (2900 vs 4500).

I would like to have XLR inputs. But since my senheisser wireless microphone has mini.jack output, i shuold find no problems inputing this into the FX1.
However i would like to record the exterior microphone in one channel (ir: left) and with the camera microphone in the other channel (ie: right).
I think i would not be able to do this, would i?

Can the audio levels be adjusted? Is there a level bar to know when the audio is peaking?
Any other big disadvantage between both models?

thanks

I don't know about the z1u, but the fx1 has no way to balance the audio. You can get a xlr adapter for the fx1 if you wanted to save the money, but remember that the z1u shoots both ntsc and pal, and takes dvcam as well. FX1 doesn't. If you can afford the z1u, I'd go with the z1u. Then again, I also wouldn't ever work with HDV. But that's up to you. Peace.
