Has anyone read any reviews on the microFinder loupe, or know of anyone who has tested it out?

"microFinder loupe accessory allows a standard 3rd party loupe to be securely fastened to the rear of a video DSLR with 3" LCD without any modification, glue, or sticking velcro, or any other substances that may potentialy damage or discolor your camera.

The microFinder loupe accessory is currently certified to work with the Hoodman Hoodloupe 3.0."

The new Zacuto Z-Finder is supposed to start shipping on August 10th. It costs $395. This microFinder costs $55, and the Hoodman costs $75. I like the sound of $130 better than $395.

I've been using it the past two days. It's great, but it's slightly uncomfortable. Have no experience with the Z-finder but I believe it magnifies the screen which is something that I somewhat wish the hoodman would do.

Overall, though, I would say that the microfinder plus hoodman is a great tool.

Thanks Ryan.

What do you mean by "slightly uncomfortable"? Does it get in the way?

And the Hoodman itself - this microFinder loupe holds it in place fairly well? Would you say it's a tight fit ... pressed snug up against the LCD? Or does the Hoodman have a tendency to shift a bit?

Thanks again for your feedback.

Hello I have had the Hoodman for a month its good value and the microfinder loupe accessory is great it even fits between camera and battery pack.
The z finder is better as its got 3x magnification but its also 3 x the price

Why not get an LCDVF? Or you could get the sockloupe thing which is about 70 bucks I believe and bloom says is way better than the hoodloupe.
