Micro35: MIA presumed dead.

Been waiting for the "guides" for a rather long time, hasn't everyone? If this were a soldier in Iraq, the MIA presumed dead moniker would be changed to KIA.

Micro35 2004-2005.

Redrock *supposedly* started a new company and is developing the Micro35, MicroFocus, and MicroMatteBox.

I will still stick to my guns and refer to my statement about a month ago:

If we don't see any progress by the end of April, we can assume the Micro35 is VAPORWARE!!

Busy or not.....makes no difference!! If people have pre-ordered and PAID for a product it needs to be either delivered or their money should be refunded. No updates only futhers the belief that Micro35 is MIA / KIA!!

~reservoir~

why post this rhetoric here? go to the official forum for the micro35 and post there. he is more likely to reply there than on here.

i agree the guides should be sent or money refunded. he did post yesterday about the fact he is starting up his company and its taking time.. i am not taking up for him.. i am only relaying info. best to post over there then here...

Sorry that's bullshit - he needs to temporarily refund the cash until he can get his **** together and then try it again.

Not to be harsh or anything...

lol It sounds like they're coming out eventually.

People are starting to get pissed at him, his rebuttal is "They're shipping this week"

I know for a fact that he's making them and working on the project, because I've been talking to the beta users, but this is taking way longer. Every day, there are posts asking when they're going to be shipped, and he usually never replies to those threads unless people start trash-talking or begging for an answer, and he always says "sometime later this week"...

Although I am optimistic about getting the guide with ground glass, I also need to think realistically. Iis there anything we can do, legally to get our money back if he doesn't deliver within a month or two?

I've held back three different productions for this damn adapter, because he keeps saying "next week", and then what happens the next week? NO DELIVERY!

Well, he's starting off great by lying every week.

They are shipping later this week, or next week sometime

Just be honest and say they'll be ready in ONE MONTH or how the hell long ever you think it will take. At least you won't have customers waiting with baited breath and checking their mailbox 14 times a day!! If he is taking his customers for a ride now on some silly manuals, He isn't going to have alot of faith from customers when a *FINISHED* product is ready....that's for sure!!

I have NO DOUBT the Micro35 is indeed coming, as I have read all the latest juice on other forums, but if he has ANY sense of business and class he would tell the truth about the GD manuals. I'd be pissed off too if I had pre-ordered one. We've been hearing the "Manuals are shipping next week" for over a month now. He's building quite a reputation for honesty and hard work right there!!

Busy or not, a lie is a lie. And if it is NOT a lie, then give a good explanation of why they haven't shipped and you will ease alot of tension between you and your customers. Avoiding the issue with silence or giving the old "Shipping Next Week" routine isn't gonna last much longer. Not when people have already prepaid.

It's becoming more and more obvious the whole *preorder* scheme was just to get more money up front for R&D and other expenses. If they don't ship by the end of April, he's gonna be in some serious **** with his customers....BET ON IT!! ~reservoir~

"The truth shall set you free"

there aint nuthing much you can do.. he has your money... well you could go to his house and kick his butt or something... :D

seriously, you could try to get the money back thru paypal but thats an uphill battle in itself...

yeah of course the guides were for R and D! i dont need the guide.. i want the pre assembled unit.. which is why im holding out.

i sure hope he gets them shipping.. he does have a huge following...people are getting antsy.. you can cut the tension with a kife over at the site..

Is micro35 a swindle?
have I been conned?
I don´t know...

I am way late to this thread, don't know the creator of the Micro35, and by no means a legal expert, but mail order laws in the USA are clear. Product must be shipped within 30 days of purchase or the buyer must be given the option to extend the waiting period or get an immediate, full refund. If you want your money back, the seller is obligated BY LAW to refund your money.

buwhwhwhwhwaaa.... who pays attention to those laws... lol check out folks who got jammed up on fleabay.. lol

and this thread just started FYI... you didnt miss much... there have been other discussions on th is device in other threads though..

and fix your location...

no offense to redrock, but whether he ever come's up with a completed 35mm device he's the last person that I would trust sending any of my money to. . as far as I'm concered he's baited and screwed over everyone on here that gave him any money..... either that or he doesn't know a thing about running a company and shouldn't be offing a product that he can't deliver on... I don't care if he's a saint and attend's church every sunday while helping the little old lady across the street.... if he can't deliver he should refund...

Try posting a question at the dedicated Micro35 thread over at DVinfo. For what it's worth everyone over there's still waiting and asking about when the guides will ship as well. He seems legitimate, but I think it was pretty ridiculous to actually take orders before he had the guides ready to ship. That was a bad idea.

Dah, dah dah dum dum dum dum dum dum dum.....
Hear that? A funeral dirge for Micro35!
Raising R&D money thru the sale of the guides shows various things:
1. Lack of integrity. If he needed $$$ for R&D, ask for them as a CONTRIBUTION, and I'm sure that many of us would have given 10-20 bucks. (Now? HAHAHAHA, no integrity-=no contributions)
2. Lack of knowledge. He's never done product development. Has no idea how long things take to be developed, or how to go about doing it.
3. BIG CAHONES! Wow, take folks for a ride on THIS forum and see how your rep is in the industry! Big balls for sure!

Shipping today? As in today, now, or today, being an existential frame of reference which could mean today as in the other todays they were shipping on on that today, but weren't, so they're shipping on this today, whcih may be another today....
Wheeww! Sounds like talking with A&M Photoworld about the $879 Canon GL2's that come WITHOUT a lens! ;)
