Micro35: MIA presumed dead.

Today is relative.

If you believe Einstein's theory of relativity Emc^2 then *Today* could mean two years from now. Or Today in a past life or parallel dimension somewhere.

At this point, he needs to deliver, refund monies, or get the hell out of dodge cause' there are some PISSED people here and over at DVinfo.net.

Assuming this thing is *EVER* released....are there not *ANY* affordable lenses out there? I am assuming you need to use Prime lenses right? I'm coming up with prices like 15-30K for Prime Lenses. WTF? What "affordable" options are there?

~reservoir~

Yeah--cine prime lenses cost more than photographic prime lenses as a general rule.
There are alot of reasons for that. Identical aperture throughout the set, 270 degree
geared focus rings, incredible sharpess, and the fact they are all color matched.

There are so many photo lenses out there in the "affordable" category.
Check out the Nikon, Canon, and Sigma online catalogs to get an idea of what's available.

Canon's 50mm f/1.8 ($75) or 50mm f/1.4 ($300) are both good buys in this reviewers opinion.

Wow - a lot of vitriol here - I agree that it probably wasn't in micro35's best interest to take orders that far in advance. However they have been clear THE GUIDES ARE SHIPPING NOW - not soon, and not sometime this week.

We've all earned some right to be a disbeliever, but we should at least give him the benefit of a few days to make good on this definitive statement.

they have also posted some updated images showing it's far more than vaporware.

Given the promise of the micro35 - rotating gg vs. the inferior static gg of the g35 at a fraction of the price of the mini35 - it's worth the wait for me.

I just hope people don't confuse what may be a poor business decision taking pre-orders from what is shaping up to be an incredible product.

The pre-order thing doesn't mean someone's a scammer. I took pre-orders on the DVX Book/DVD, and ended up not being able to ship on the due date, in fact it was 11 days after the date I had promised, because I didn't have the DVDs or books in my hands when they were promised. I was supposed to start shipment on Nov. 1, but it was Nov. 11 before the physical materials were delivered to me.

So I learned my lesson, don't take pre-orders.

Has anyone heard back from Micro 35?.
I am about to send a $500 payment for the Mini 35 Adapter and I want to make sure people are getting their products.

Can someone please kindly confirm?

Thanks Isaac

This is a really old thread (really old - this was April. I can't believe it!)and obviously we (and the whole movement) has made tremendous progress since then.
