HPX250: Micro P2 card data offload on MacBook Pro 2014 or any cheap $150 netbook w/ SDHC into

I haven't jump on the Micro P2 bandwagon yet. P2 serves me just fine. But eventually will have to reconsider Micro P2. I'm still not certain if I do need to spend $350 for Panasonic's dual Micro P2 USB3 reader or I can use any Mac Book Pro or cheap netbook PC built-in SDHC card reader?

I use a Lexar USB3 standard SDHC reader, and it works perfectly. I'm on a PC with Avid, but works exactly like having a P2 card in a PCMCIA slot.

Yep, no problems with a "normal" USB 3.0 card reader. Very fast transfers here on a PC.
