Micro Gimbal for GH4, BMPCC, A7s - $699 USD

little off track but as I don't know the answer I thought I would ask, would you use lens image stabiliser on or off when using gimbal like this?

Bought it for my FZ1000 but cannot fit on the mounting plate( the camera is off centre on the wrong side, not 100% sure if it will fit a GH4. Tried it with my Note 3 and RX100 is a bit difficult to balance. It seems to vibrate during video recording, May be ok for A7?No user manual no instruction manual
Motor very small compare to other gimbal for this kind of weight, worry do not have enough torque.

GO to alibaba or Taobao to buy direct from China, IS only 3040-4000 RMB+ postage.

I don't think the handle is removable as it contains the battery and on/off switch.

I'm holding off ordering until one of you lot in the US have got one in hand... :)

You are correct even the battery are not replaceable. No joystick/lever to control the pan or tilt either

I am in Hong Kong, I believe they sure will deliver, but the performance actual product is questionable.

I still have to test it out sometime.

Any suggestions for test you guys want me to do?

Thanks for the video link, hantanbl. The setup was decipherable, except I will have to watch the steps when he laid it on top of the pliers again, not sure exactly what the procedure was there.

After playing around with it for few days

The principle of setting up this thing is,

1) Use all the different screws on all the 3 axis to put your camera's gravity at the most balanced position. Before switching it on.

2) Once camera is at proper position switch the thing on.

3) **** Most important ****
Red push button will switch the gimbal between 3 different modes by pressing it once, twice or trice quickly ( better wait a few seconds before between each mode )
Will others please confirm the following
'once' is follow mode( move pass a certain angle the gimbal will pan or tilt to follow), 'twice' is lock position mode (will stabilize until max angle)
'Trice' seems to be similar mode 'once'

Thanks

In your opinion, does it work reasonably well?

Love to see some test footage, cheers

They said to expect delivery around DEC 1, but never provided a tracking number. Product had to ship from China to CA, and probably repackaged and shipped out again.

My order updates keep ending up in my spam folder. I have a tracking number listed from DHL out of Hong Kong. Should have the gimbal this week, but I will be out of town most this week.

Yep, dustylense, their emails were once again in my SPAM folder, I wasn't expecting them to again be tabbed as SPAM. Looks like they were emailing from two different places.

So looks like DHL should have it here in 2 days.

Very excited for you guys to get yours and share your thoughts. I am hoping to be flying a GH4 + speedbooster and Tokina 11-16 but I fear it may be too heavy for the motors. it would be a dream come true for action sports if that set up panned out.

I asked them about using a GH4 + lens combination that weigh 1.2 kg. There response was somewhat guarded but "1.2 kg is OK, but maybe not perfect."

So if that doesn't burn out the motors, I guess the only restriction would be certain types of moves wouldn't work.

A bit off topic: Anybody planning to use this gimbal with the LX100?
