Micro Gimbal for GH4, BMPCC, A7s - $699 USD

Thanks for the video link, hantanbl. The setup was decipherable, except I will have to watch the steps when he laid it on top of the pliers again, not sure exactly what the procedure was there.
that would be to adjust the yaw of the device.

Because the sensor is at the base and the base is uneven so he uses the plier legs to make sure his gets a truly flat levelling

Why wouldn't you just use the screen on the camera itself for monitoring? I wonder if attaching an HDMI cable to the gimbal while operating it would throw off the balance?

Looking forward to hearing your report

I was wondering about the HDMI cable too, possibly one of the Atomos ones that are coiled or some other low profile cable. If the handle has 1/4" & 3/8" threads, it should be possible to add a monitor to the rig (or mount this to a rig).

The vendor says all orders are currently shipping from China, and apparently shipping to anywhere in the world is free at the moment. Don't expect a tracking number real quick, if at all. Startup pains I guess. But they are responding to all my questions by email. Emails are originating in California.

There are many online shops selling in Taobao (China Ebay equivalent) http://s.taobao.com/search?q=%D0%C7...d=tb.index&spm=a214x.6760217.5803581.d4908513

The golden week of China which just went by (11Nov) saw a 20% discount (from $4000 to $3200 RMB) offered for the Nebula 4000. I missed it and hopefully there will be another offer soon for Christmas or New Year

If you want to search in Taobao the chinese name for Nebula 4000 is 星云4000

Disclaimer: I am not related to them in any way. Just a amateuar trying to get 1 to play with

Looks like i may be fortunate enough to get a review sample of it. if that be the case i'll put up a bunch of tests and review. it will be my first gimbal, so any requests/suggestions are certainly welcome.

I wonder if you can swap the side the tilt motor is on (so giving better access to the HDMI socket) ?

Got a response back from Leon at Filmpower in San Francisco.

"Thank you for interest Nebula 4000. It support GH4 very well, but it can not filp the LCD. All the camera shutter at the right. And the right is heavier than the left normaly. So the pitch mortor in the left is better for balance and compact the size of Nebula. The GH4 can view the whole LCD from back like other cameras".
