FS5: Mic mount shim

Anyone know of an elegant solution for the problem of a mic barrel too small for the mount on the FS5? I could probably wrap gaffer tape around the barrel of my Azden until its diameter gave a snug fit, but thought it might be a bit red-neck.

Thanks in advance.

I bought an Audio Technika mic that had the same problem, it came with 2 rubber O rings that served as the spacers for it to fit snugly. They may be available separately if you look around.

Thanks Matt. I'm trying to source some shims or something from Sony or maybe Sennheiser/Rode...there is nothing from Azden. I can't imagine I'm the first with this problem.

Sony sells a purpose-made rubbery thing for the low low reasonable price of $FORTY DOLLARS

...or, you can buy a set of several dozen rubber o-rings for $15 solving that and many other uses (for instance, making captive nuts, place markers on rods, etc)

I bought what looks like exactly the same box of O rings which works very well. In the end though I changed the mic holder for one of Rycotes offerings which helped to get my NTG3 just that bit higher and keep it out of frame on wide angles.

Thanks for the ideas. I ended up buying that low low priced Sony shim, used, along with a short XLR cable, from a colleague...much cheaper.
