The DP you refer to must be Paul Cameron? He was replaced several weeks into the shoot for 'creative differences'. Meanwhile, Dion Bebe steps in and gives us these nominations for cinematography (... ASC Award, LAFCA Award, OFCS Award and wins the a BAFTA Film Award...)

Such unpleasant results they end up collaborating digitally again on Vice.

Dion Beebe is a superb cinematographer IMO!

He deserves all the recognition that he gets.

The selective focus of his shots for JANE CAMPION's IN THE CUT, the gorgeous compositions, the colors... I was struck when I watched that film...

COLLATERAL had a great look... if little substance...

Anyway, I love MICHAEL MANN. He's a master.

I'm there on day one for MIAMI VICE... hope it doesn't let me down the way COLLATERAL did... but then, on the heels of a masterpiece like HEAT...

Damn I loved the look of the trailer. I have no problem with the grain. To me it adds a little character .

Haven't seen the movie (Miami Vice) yet but if I'm guessing from what you all are saying then this film was shot mostly on the Sony F900? Or did I miss something?
