For those into meteor showers tonight and tomorrow night is the big yearly events. Best time to watch is 4am-7am (central time) with an average of 1 meteor per minute.

Huh? I just heard on the radio 12am to 7am, with estimated 200 visible meteors per hour...

Either way, I'll be watching with weeds on:Drogar-Smoke(DBG):

That's about right with the peak at 4-7am central time, best visibility is after moon set away from city lights. You'll see them at midnight but the vsibility with the bright moon will be detered. 4am best time...

I might head out to the mountains and get a glimpse, but our coastal fog is supposed to be coming in around then. I used to check this one out regularly when it was clear. We'll see how I feel tonight.

North coast in California is all clouds. No meteors for me this year, again. Oh well. Maybe next year... when I live somewhere else.

Looks like I'm gonna miss it... Bit too bright here in the city...

I'm half tempted to drive down to the ranch though...

Later,
Jason

I'm currently on the look-out. It seems impossible to catch one on video, guys. Has anyone ever done it?

Don't know, I am going to use a still camera with a long shutter and just hope I get a bright one, I have seen about 5 faint ones so far... Crystal clear here, big show is supposed to start in an hour and a half here. I'll be pissed if it sucks.

Yea, get on top a mountain in the clear air and you'll have a really good show.

I'm at 1,000 feet elevation in KC, clear night. 4am is suposed to have the most activity.
