I did the search thing but came up short. What does metasync do?

Metasync allows the user to pass information from one app to another. For example, you can add a Metasync track to your timeline, use it to create chapter points and chapter posters. Then it exports as an XML file which Avid DVD can read and import to automatically create chapter points and posters. It also works with Sonicfire to do essentially the same thing. You export a timeline range and Sonicfire sees it as a placeholder in it's timeline.
