With the Speed Booster, my Canon 70-200 f2.8L II effectively becomes a 70-200 f2.0 with a FF FOV. With the original Metabones Smart Adapter my Canon 70-200 f2.8L II effectively becomes a 105-300 f2.8 with a S35 FOV.
Right?
Easiest way to figure it out is to stay with one FOV. Pick either the FF or the S35 (now you are using it on a Super 35 camera so
I would of course pick the S35 FOV as it just makes most sense. If you are a FF still photographer, than maybe it is easier for you
to think in FF FOV.) Anyways, if you are thinking in FF terms, you will get approximately 70-200mm (with the speed booster)
and the 105-300mm (with original adapter). If you are more used to using S35 FOV (as I am) you would get approximately
50-150mm (with the speed booster) and 70-200mm (with original adapter). Numbers aren't exact but close. You are NOT going to
get a 105-300mm Super 35 FOV out of a 70-200 lens! That is the exact OPPOSITE of what the speed booster does!
