Just got an email from Lilliput.

They don't know why I can't get playback on my 9.7 monitor. They want to know:

1 Can your camera support the playback image function?
2. What is the signal format of the output? How much is your camera’s resolution and refresh rate ?

In other words, they haven't tested their monitor with the gh2.

If anyone wants to pursue this, provide the answers for the above and I'll forward them.

If not, I'll be sending the montor back tomorrow.
 
The GH2 outputs 1080/60i but at a nonstandard frame rate of 60.00 fields per second. The standard is 59.94, but the GH2 doesn't abide by that, it uses 60.00.
 
I can only report that my Lilliput 7" 5D-II works flawlessly with my GH2. When I enter playback, I get the "TV Output in Progress" message on my LCD, and everything shows up fine on the Lilliput monitor with the image and all the menus. Maybe the models handle the signal differently. Have you tried hooking another HDMI device up to the monitor to make sure it isn't a flaw in the monitor itself?
