Hello my friends!

I just wanted to pop in and give an update....

First of all, I have not been on dvxuser at all for a couple of reasons.

1) It is a painful reminder for me right now as I am transitioning my life without a wife

2) I have been playing my butt off enjoying my new life!

...

I really have had a great summer.

Camping
Sailing
Water Skiing
Fishing
Four Wheeling
Harley Riding all over the place

I have been living it up and totally loving it.

...

I have discovered that as much as I want the ideal life of a wife and home and stability... it is just not me. I tried it for 12 years and I got so bored. I lost the zest for life and living.

I am happy to say, that is no longer the case.

I have had my days where I hurt inside, missing my wife, missing my friends, missing my life as I knew it... but those days are thinning out.

I am too much of a free-spirited man who loves to explore and excite. Adventurous and Unafraid.

I am a very happy guy right now. Finally.

...

As for my travel OUT of New Hampshire... well, departure should not be too far away.

We just got an offer on our house that is VERY close to our asking price. Looks like the house will close on Oct. 6.

I plan to close on the house and head out in Oct.

....

So, yes... life is all about me right now. I am having a great time but do miss several things. DVXuser and my friends are one of those things that I miss most.

I feel, as I hit the road, I will get back into my filmmaking. I am thinking about documenting my travel and see if I can do anything with it.

....

I just wanted to pop in and say hello and offer an update.

I hope that you are all doing well and prospering in your ventures!

Be well, my friends.

-Ted

Ted, glad to see you are enjoying life. You know what they always say: you've only got one life to live so don't be afraid to do so (or something like that). You aren't afraid and that is fantastic. Just be careful not to get hurt or some disease or something.

Las Vegas is a cool place, and close enough to LA to drive out if necessary. You can get the beach girls in California, no need to bother with the Florida humidity/hurricanes, etc.

Best of luck in whatever you choose to do and don't be a stranger for too long!

Hey Nick, thanks man!

I hope that you are writing up a storm and creating great scripts.

best,

Ted

Ted's livin' large! Excellent....and buddy... it only gets better. I started with my divorce lawyer's paralegal and haven't looked back since. (there really IS something about the 40-something man...perhaps these girls have daddy issues?...who care, it works fo me!)

Have fun Ted...be safe...and 'wrap that rascal'...this isn't the '70s anymore!

hee hee... thanks Zaza.

And yes, there is something that the ladies like about a confident older man. And I couldn't be happier about that!

thanks man,

hey metro, I like your sig. May have to steal that, LOL!

And yeah... those pics aren't bad. I am trying to get the dude who took them to give me all the photos he took. Their were some real babes in that contest. There were these two girls I was partying with the night before who were going to compete... that is UNTIL all of the girls started showing up for the contest. Holy crap! Real beauties. I guess these girls travel the circuit competing for the prize money. (not just your local girls on the lake. many came up from Boston to compete). I guess for $3000, who can blame them.

If I get more pics, I'll post.

cheers,
Ted

Ted,

Good for you man. It's the Lover you don't have to love idea. And I really enjoy that concept. Live life without regret. (Aside from one or two girls I never should have done anything with...)

Glad to hear you are loving life. Can't ask for anymore then that.

Definitely Matt!

When did you move up to Utah? I thought that you were in CA?

I am think that once I do hit the road, I am going to start a blog or some thread... announcing my locations (as I intend to take my time getting to where ever I am going) and visit dvxuser's along the way.

Should be fun!

Takes some courage to call it quits and start over - at any age.

Kudos for making the leap and enjoying the ride!

Well said, Mattykins. Well said!

Well, I'm glad you still like football, my being from the South, would be awful if you didn't enjoy the sport. I do hope you find your way, didn't think you liked it up there in the snow. I suggest you go to Vegas first because of the opportunities to film conventions, and just opportunities for find work of some kind. LA is crawling with people who want to make it in the industry and don't have money saved up and starve.

I can live for another year before I starve and I've been here 18months so far, so be careful in your planning when and if you come down here. So a good transition stop would be Vegas or NYC, depending on what suits you.

Thanks. Yeah... you know... it was either quit and start over or live the same day over and over for the rest of my life.

It was a real eye-opener when I took my wife to CA to work on Fat Monter's O2. I learned a lot about my wife on that visit and what the next 40-whatever years were going to be like for me.

It was that week that I left her. And yes... scary, hard, but had to be done (sad to say).

thanks chiming in Neal,

Hey Charli, nice to hear from you!

I do love Football but it is funny... I am not into sports, or news, or anything on tv. (I haven't watched TV since May 29th, save for the Celtics/Lakers matchup)

NYC, is NOT an option. As much as I love the City, it snows there and it's cold in the winter. I refuse to live in the snow anymore (at least right now!)

And I just sold my snow blower, so there you go!

Vegas is likely the place for me.

Hope all is well in your Universe Chuck!

best

HAHAHA!!! LMAO! Yep. Something like that!

Simon, I hope all is well with you. When you have a chance, send me a link to your timefest entry. I'd like to see it.

I just couldn't get into watching Timefest at the time. (no pun intended)

Maybe they are still up, though I doubt it. But I'd like to have a chance to catch them.

Thanks for your support!

Hey Nick, thanks man!

And yeah... I am very concerned with all that disease crap. I am as safe as I can be but I do know that you can never be totally safe. But I do, ABSOLUTELY DO, take measures to avoid that. (put my women through some heavy screenings, LOL!)

Las Vegas does sound perfect for me. I like that is is close to LA. As for Florida, I would only go through Spring Break then I would be out of there. Before the Humidity. But, as I said, Vegas sounds very appealing!

I hope that you are writing up a storm and creating great scripts.

best,

Ted

Good to hear, buddy. You know, I am trying. Quite busy at the moment, some things are going neglected. I am churning a few feature ideas that I want to get on paper and sell eventually (better sooner than later) we will see how things go.

Good for you, Nick. Keep at it.

...

Right now, my head is spinning. I just visited the pages of Kyle's Thread and was floored by the Fat Monster Film that invaded it.

If anyone has missed this, the need to visit this thread.

Wow. (I would have left my gf's behind for that shoot!) Damn.
