Pain in the ass
I went out today and shot a bunch of the mermaid parade at coney island. Here is a compilation of a few clips. Some have been tweaked in post.

I saw a bunch of DVXs and a couple of HVXs out there today. Anyone else from here go?

I developed such an instant crush on the hoola-hoop girl.

720 version(178 megs) http://www.desperatecomfort.com/media/media/mermaid/mermaid_720.wmv

Also one of the clips has Adam from Mythbusters, who was King Neptune this year.

I did a second run-off too. This is where I ran up to adam and told him to wave hi to my mom - who loves that show:

P.S. Thanks to Jack for loaning me some P2 cards.

I was out there with the kids and then we went to Totonnos. I was going to bring a camera but it was too damn hot and I knew it would be even hotter in the crowds.

Cool footage.

Already told you what I thought - that the slow mo (over crank) looked cool, and that I really liked the under cranked footage because it looked cool but was also a surprise - I would not have thought of covering something like this like that.

there are free unbranded unlimited (to my knowledge, ive uploaded more than 2 gigs with no problem) video hosting sites such as http://www.vilodex.com I have invites if anyone wants them...besides that, some decent hosting is a drop in the bucket in comparison to the hvx and some p2's

Cool footage, but why would you buy an hd camera if you are going to downres that much?

The main reason I bought an HD camera and then downresed was to provoke silly questions, the answers to which are blatantly obvious.

If you wanted to see a larger version, why not just ask for it?

I've added a 720 version to the first post just for you.

And download time, lol.

Mark this would look a lot cooler on a "full HD" panny plasma - can you send me one to watch it on?
(just kidding no coast - you were probably just asking for a 480 version at least :) )

I understand the small size was for the interwebs, so as not to clog it's series of tubes.
