Mercalli v2 correct rolling shutter !

Wow this looks like pure awesomeness.... and if they are going to put it in vegas that is even more awesomnesor because that is my nle of choice.

yeah looks like it would be handy

with rolling shutter cant you just SKEW it back, and ease it off as it naturally dies down as the camera slows its movement?

i notice if you pause the clip when its viewing the greenhouses that the corrected version is slightly enlarged to crop off the edges that would become angled?

when rolling shutter occurs is it a pulsing or constant effect while its happening?

i do like the look of the "Correct non-uniform Zooms" on the examples page, i've often wondered how to get a fluent zoom from my jittery stumbling with it.

The stand alone version is pretty slick - I actually prefer it to the plugin version. It allows one to run an analysis and Mercalli will mark with an exclamation point any spot where the current settings are not agressive enough to remove the shake. Then you can move sliders for different settings until the exclamation points go away.

I just tried the demo in Vegas 9 and it is the best stabilization/rolling shutter plug-in I've tried....it's just with 1080P any digital quirks from using the software are apparant. In their defense I was using the default settings and the waterwark from the demo didn't help distract me from random video artifacting in the deep background. I realize now that "fix-it in" post always has it's limitations!

does it upscale abit? cause the corrected footage looks zoomed in.

do you guys remember the clip of someone putting some sort of lcd film with an electric charge infront of the sensor or lens and when he turned it on it eliminated rolling shutter? now that was pretty star trek. =)

I wonder how this will compare to deshaker, which I find is fantastic but has it's downsides. I will give the trial a shot!

I bought the ProDAD Mercalli because I thought its results were quite good compared to other stabilizers I've tried for Premiere CS5.

After buying I haven't been able to unlock the demo's "pink cross" that's on the preview screen. After two weeks of trying to contact ProDAD support I haven't still been able to get this issue fixed. I haven't got a single render done with Mercalli yet and ProDAD doesn't answer my e-mails or phone calls anymore.

Has anyone else got similar experiences?

Mercalli seems to be the best bang for the buck. Deshaker is good too, but not integrated into editors. I've been using Mercalli for about a month now and am very impressed with the results.

I use this product everyday on all my video clips, have done for 3 years. The latest version bought as a plugin for Vegas is much improved over V1. A nice side effect of GlideCam mode is it introduces a natural motion blur to footage shot at a high shutter speed.

This video below was shot on a Canon HF10 (at 50i at 1/250 converted to 50p in Vegas) on a really crappy day from the back of a Jetski.

Download the 360p mp4 for better quality at 2000kbps. This is just streaming at 700kbps

activation?

activation?

Did ProDad ever send you an activation code to get the full version? It is 24 characters long.

For CS5.5, you have to download Plugin 2.0.93 or newer.
