Men in Black 3

This movie was no better than the trailers would have you believe, but not really much worse either. It's an improvement on the second film but not by a lot. Brolin's Tommy Lee Jones impression was spot on. He has a way of impersonating characters that feels true instead of a caricature. And Michael Stuhlburg was great. His fifth dimensional character is probably the most original thing in the film, but in the end kind of underutilized. The whole movie kind of felt like that, a bunch of good ideas that go nowhere interesting. Seemed like the time travel element had a lot of comedic possibilities that weren't fully explored. The whole thing had a tired, flaccid air about it, like nobody's heart was really in it. A pretty forgettable movie at the end of the day. A rental at best, that is if you can still find a video store to rent it at. All the ones in my area have gone out of business.

I was pleasantly surprised by this film. I went into it expecting a stinker, but it turned out to be 2 hours of entertainment. My cinephile bone wasn't rattling, but it was escapist fun. I don't regret watching it.

Like Kyle I too went in w/o low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. I doubt I would watch it again, but it was a fun movie.

All in the expectations with things like this. Kind of reminds me of Drive - I went into it thinking it was Oscar material (a number of people actually told me this) and I was truly disappointed. Rambo in a car.

And Michael Stuhlburg was great. His fifth dimensional character is
he kinda felt like Big Bang theory with a touch Lost in Space :) but like the others said went with extremely low expectations....plus Im a big fan of Tommy Lee Jones...so I had to give it a try.

Felt like part one I mean that in a good way....here's to part 4 !
