Memory card issues since firmware upgrade?

Has anyone else experienced any issues with their SD cards since the firmware upgrade?

I was shooting some footage on Saturday and would occasionally have the recording stop with a message along the lines of 'the write speed of your memory card was not fast enough to continue recording' or something like that. The strange thing was it was not consistent, and if I just pressed record again it would record the next take fine.

I never got a message like this before upgrading the firmware, and just wondered if anyone else had seen it. I'm using a Transcend 16GB card, it's SDHC Class 6.

My Japanese GH1 had issues over the weekend as well but the error message which flashed up was in Japanese. I later had this translated by someone who can read Japanese, it was referring to the lens not being attached properly (even though it was). I avoided this by allowing 'shoot without lens' in the menus and changing from the full auto mode on the dial.

I may have got a different error message because I don't think the lens bug was the full story. If I did get one about the memory card it would surprise me as I was using a Sandisk Extreme III 30MB edition for the most part, although earlier I used a standard Sandisk incase security at the Blur concert confiscated it on entry :)

Seems that we need a firmware fix to fix the firmware update :crybaby:

PS - only the GH1 I have used for a month has the lens attachment bug - it seems only to occur over time. I hope it is temporary and not a hardware deterioration issue.

@ commanderspike - I had a similar issue with my G1. Don't freak out, all you have to do is do a full reset via the menu (wrench icon -> page 2 bottom) before it throws the error. (it may take you a couple of tries to get it!!) I haven't had the issue after one episode...
