Medieval set?

Hey all,

I have a feeling we might be needing a medieval type set for an upcoming film. Any idea of one already in existence?

Or will it have to be from scratch?

Just out of curiousity, what do you mean by set? A living room, a den, castle?
Outdoors?...you cute member you.

Funny you should ask!

Renaissance Festival...Sterling, NY (www.sterlingfestival.com), July 12-August 17th, 2008. Short notice, but these people are REALLY into it, you might be able to make some good contacts there.

Yeah, renn-fests would be a great idea - Maryland's coming up in the fall, runs from the end of August to the middle of October, might be a good one to look into. Dunno your location. I just like the Maryland renn-fest.

Actually Zaza, I've been the renaissance fest in Sterling a few times. It is exactly where I was thinking for extras and stuff.

As for the actual set. I think it will need to be mostly outdoors, some open spaces, inner manor type stuff as well, like market places and what-have-you.

It's basically a feeler. I have a few films lined up and trying to figure out which to tackle. I wanted to see if anyone knew of market type settings off-hand. It might be a concept to tackle in a year or two.

Yeah...that's a tough one.

Head toist thy festival (it's not far from thee) and seeith if someone there can help ye.

LOL!

I actually was there two years ago and we were trying to get that hidden prize deal. We had to get clues and ask people and stuff.

Needless to say, our quest failed. It started raining, one of the people I was with got lost, someone faceplanted in the mud, no one knew where the object was. We had to solve 5 riddles. It was a mess.

But we had a fun time despite not finding the treasure.

LOL... should have had your camera with you then...this stuff is great!

YES... get the cast of "The Impossible Race" & have them enter the contest...THAT could be great!
