im having problems with my media tool every time i delete a project

Lately not al the files in the project are deleted when I open the media tool and bring up the files of the project I use to get like 1500 to 1700 files but now I get like 400 to 600 from the same size of projects I'd like to mention that I check all the options available in the dialog. And once a year when I clean up my hard drives I find a lot of orphan files often 150 gig over all and more what is wrong with my system?
allso since the problem started media tool dose not "add orphen files to media tools" any more​

I had similar problems, go to http://www.avid.com/exchange/forums/55873/ShowPost.aspx on the forums I learned of a program thats FREE. Dont ask me why its Russian, all the instructions are in English. I use this all the time, it rocks, MDV_Avid is the program. You will also see comments from many satisfied users

One thing to be aware of....you can detect and delete orphan files (and complete projects) from this program. But it doesnt change your drives database files. So the next time you start your Avid it will re-scan your drives to rebuild the database. All automatic and easy, just can be slow (depending on drive size) when your trying to get back in & cutting.

every now and again at a time best for you, you will have to throw away that OMFI folder or those folders of yours. Media tool became buggy with the great downgrade and is now very low on a very tall things for them to work on.
